February 19, WARDERICK WELLS CAY-EXUMA PARK

Here we went to Normans Cay. We find the ranges white sand, the sea with its shades of turquoise that belong only to the Bahamas. That is absolutely beautiful! For the next month is our reward. We leave behind the crossing Florida-Bimini-Chub Cay and Nassau, waves, wind,''mixing''and will enjoy what nature has to offer ...

Before we go to Norman Cay, he taken from Chub Cay to Nassau rendrent for us. We left Chub Thursday, February 11 at 8:00 am with winds NW 15-20 knots but has declined over the crossing at 7-8 knots. We had a tail wind, great sailing. Are arrived in Nassau at 14:00 after 37 minutes and were greeted by our friends Richard and Linda's boyfriend Rigalio boat. Really a nice surprise because we did not find them in Nassau.

We took a slip at the marina''Nassau Harbour Club''($ 2.00 off the $ 5 day for water and electricity), marina recommended for its excellent service. Beautiful home, helps to dock and depart, pool, landry, clean showers. Although located right in front of the mall or we find groceries, shops, Starbucks Coffee, Dairy Queen''and''liquour store, which is not to be despised when buying wine at the cash ...

Friday and Saturday we went to Nassau we helped resupply, do laundry and make good food with our friends Linda and Richard and Francine and René Rigalio boat Jolie Julie boyfriend. Nice reunion.

Sunday we left Nassau direction Allens Cay boat with boyfriend Rigalio. Beautiful sailing 28 minutes with a tail wind of 5-8 knots. At noon we cast anchor. As it was Valentine's Day, Linda and I had placed an order with our captains for the dinner menu: Lobster. In the afternoon, our Valentines parties are honoring their contract. They returned with a nice big lobster, caught by Richard, we shared. Linda had the idea to cook it with pasta sauce, quite delicious. The next day, Richard and Yvonne are left to exercise their instinct fisherman. It was a success. We were able to eat lobster without having to share it.

Tuesday we decided to go with Norman to pass a strong wind announced Wednesday. We knew we were going to have good protection. It's nice to see new places but it is interesting to revisit places known as Normans Cay. We walked on the island. Richard and Yvonne traveled the island by bicycle. A fishing Concha was organized. It was a first for me to snorkel to search our supper, usually it is the captain who cares, but then he spotted the boiler with glass bottom and I was going to get them. Richard is an expert as to arrange the fish and cook for Linda. It was a team effort. We spent a wonderful afternoon that ended with a cocktail on the beach. Photos to come.

We do not want to complain but when it comes to weather, not hot. There is often a cold wind, enough to endure a sweater. The evening and at night he can do 15-18 degrees. If we want to eat in the cockpit at night, we put HEATER Propane and at night we put the duvet. We hope that further south, we'll find a little more heat.

We expect to go Exumas Park Friday. We hope to have internet. In the Exumas, we do not have internet every day. We take the opportunity whenever possible. I can not put photo is too long, it does not work, it will soon be possible, I will proceed.

** Friday, February 19, we are Warderick Wells Cay in Exuma Park. Absolutely beautiful, it does not change. Very nice navigation, Normans here, downwind of 5-8 knots, genoa engine. We have moved seaward to try to make a nice catch but it was not a success, no control. We'll try again another time. As you can see, we have internet. The afternoon was spent enjoying this fine tool, which we could not do without.

Until next time ...
